Corsair Vengence 1300 Gaming Headset

Simple and straightforward review, today I will write an overview about Corsair Vengence 1300 Gaming Headset.

Corsair known as company that providing computer peripheral like casing, power supply, RAM, SSD, audio and many more.

Today the review is about the Vengence series headset Corsair Vengence 1300 Gaming Headset.

The same as Superlux 668B review, the same method has used, burned this headset for total 30 hours, and after 6 months using it, here I am writing the result.

Sound and record quality :

Very decent audio output, the bass is not to strong but the audio is very clear, yes it is perfect for gaming.

Microphone, with noise-canceling microphone, voice chat will be clear without any noise.

Conclusion


PRO:
Very good headset for budget under MYR 300.
Decent audio and noise cancelling microphone.
Long 3 meter braided cable
Small and simple volume and mute control
Comfortable for long term usage.
Soft ear cup.

CONS :
Quite heavy but will use to it after times.
Warm after long term period.

For better audio quality, you may get ASUS Xonar Essence STX.

Headset review : Superlux HD 668B

Again, with simple and straight forward overview of product, I will post two product separately which this headset Superlux HD 668B and Corsair Vengence 1300 2.1 Gaming Headset.

Firstly, I am not an expert to talk about audio and sound quality, here I will review based on my knowledge. Beforehand, I never get any decent audio peripheral, this Superlux HD 668B and Corsair Vengence 1300 is my first audio peripheral.

So lets talk about Superlux HD668B, this headset come with very low price around RM150, the package is include with 1 x 3meter audio cable and 1 x 1meter audio cable, 1 pouch bag, 1 x 3.5mm to 6.3 mm audio jack.

It takes 6 month after me using this headset to write a review, yes, that a long period but worth it.

For first 1 weeks, I'm burning this headset using usually method as recommended found on net, easily turn to high volume and play any song for about 30 hours total of burning. Note do not use this headphone when burning session, it will make your head dizzy.

After the burning process, I am starting to listen some music, the result is very shock. I've never listen to such detail audio and instrument before.

For media player I am using Foobar2K

My conclusion for this headset :

PRO :
Cheap (MYR 150)
Good audio quality
Detachable cable easily you to change a much better audio cable in future
Light yet sturdy design
Good for music and movie experiences

CONS :
Warm, you ear easily sweat
Tight Clamping (naturally fix in time)
Totally not for FPS gaming due the bass (Battlefield 3)

Windows Phone 8 [Part 3 : The Camera of Lumia 620]

So after a while, I come back to fill my blog about Lumia 620. This post I would like to take a little part about the camera.  This not gonna be a detail review, but just a simple and straight forward.

The UI :
Lumia 620 does not come with ProCam like higher flagships of Lumia Phone.

Not just that, the camera app also allow you to use lense from app installed as show as below.

Windows Phone 8 [Part 1 : The devices on hand Nokia Lumia 620]

Affordable Windows Phone 8 device, the Nokia Lumia 620 offer good hardware specification. On part 1 I will covering about the phone hardware.

Nokia Lumia 620 come with 3.8 inch ClearBlack Display screen with 800x400 resolution and 246ppi pixel. Offering Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor which content dual core 1GHz Krait chip and Adreno 305 GPU. On memory side, it has 512MB of RAM, 8GB storage on board and support up to 64GB microSD while 7GB more of cloud storage (Skydrive).

Connectivity, Nokia Lumia 620 offers 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and microUSB 2.0 while 5MP rear camera with LED flash and VGA camera in front for video calling.

Nokia 620 has new protective shell made by polycarbonate rigid and rubber like material and feel easy on hand and come vary in color.

With 1300mAh battery, we cant underestimate the Nokia Lumia 620, it actually last longer than i thought.

Windows Phone 8 [Part 2 : The OS Windows Phone 8]

 

Windows Phone 8 is the second generation mobile OS from Microsoft after the Windows Phone 7.x, it come with new features and support. Windows Phone 8 same as the predecessor it features the Modern UI and new application specifically compiled for Windows Phone 8.

Lock Screen

With the Nokia Lumia 620, Windows Phone 8 does not feel any lag at all, fast response, smooth transition and still not encountered with any random app close due the Windows Phone 8 is light and resource efficient.

Start Screen

App list

On the start screen shown all the app that has been pin making it easier to reach and to use. More application will be listed if we gesture to the left.  Noticed that you can change to size of the tile and the position as you want.

Setting option in  Windows Phone 8 very straight forward and easy, simply choose and tap the option.

 When talk about App, many people said that Windows Phone 8 does not have many app as the other competitor, as I can see myself, it is wrong, me found and installed all that app that needed for daily task. Noticed that Nokia app store on Malaysia region does not have many app as other region do like United States, so to solved this thing, please set the region first to Malaysia region and install app you need, like M2U app right after it, change to United States region for more app.
